1. What God Wants From a Church.
These are guidelines that Pastor Stout believes the Lord counts as essential characteristics of a church that pleases Him. The guidelines set standards and goals for a ministry. The subject matter primarily deals with topics and concerns that many churches today no longer practice, even though these things are Biblically founded and have been practiced historically.
2. The Lordship of Christ and the Gospel.
The Gospel presentations in the book of Acts present Christ as the Lord, the resurrected, living Son of God who desires and expects obedience from His subjects. The purpose of salvation is for us to be reconciled to a Holy God who is the Lord. Repentance is an essential part of reconciliation. Many contemporary Gospel presentations present a gospel whose purpose is to allow us to experience an abundant life during this lifetime, with the penalty for disobedience merely not experiencing the abundant life. This is not a legitimate presentation of the Gospel and can result in a false profession. A proper Gospel takes the approach that “The King of Kings and Lord of Lords died for our sins and rose again so that we can be saved through faith in Him,” with the understanding that this King of Kings and Lord of Lords expects obedience from His subjects. He is one who sees our hearts and honors those who come to Him in honesty and shuns those who come with a false heart. The purpose of salvation is to clean us up spiritually so the we can come to Him in a purity not our own (i.e. in Christ’s purity) and have a personal, intimate relationship with Him as we strive to serve Him in obedience and faithfulness.

The articles in item 3 above are controversial. A blog has been set up at ctotim.com as a challenge to anyone to make his case who believes he knows of arguments against the logic and/or conclusions presented in the articles and which are based on observed science. I call it a battle blog for this reason. Personal attacks are not allowed and imagined evidence is not allowed. Imagined evidence is when a person rejects observed evidence based on hoped-
